Tile Tip
Use rectangular "subway tiles" vertically on a back splash. Just like vertical stripes have a "slimming effect" when you wear a shirt or blouse, vertically installed rectangular tiles create a "sense of height." They "open up" a small space similar to a room with high ceilings.
