Santiago Cement Tile Rug Offers Warm Welcome

Posted by William Buyok on

Handcrafted cement tiles grab your attention from the moment you open the front door. The Santiago cement tile pattern in a custom colorway is the center of attention in this entry. Both the pattern and border use warm, welcoming colors. The area is trimmed in a solid color cement tile in terracotta.

Santiago Cement Tile Rug Offers Warm Welcome

In this installation, our 8"x8" Traditional Santiago cement tile pattern is installed in a classic style to create a rug by artfully combining the pattern with solid color border tiles. Solid color cement tiles are used to fill the edge of the room, as well as irregular shapes that fall outside of the border. Using solid color cement tiles on the edge of the room also simplifies an installation because cuts won't affect the border or field pattern.

The colors used in the Santiago pattern here are Sugar Cookie, Radiance, Pecan Pie, Brown, Pale Green, and Dark Sea Green.

Cement Tile Installation Tip

Cement tile is an ideal choice for an entry because it provides slip resistance, even when it becomes wet. Not only does it become more beautiful with time and wear, it can also offer the perfect welcome mat when its installed as a cement tile rug.
