Cement Tile Patio Project Pick of the Month: Cement Tile Patio
Created using our Cuban Heritage cement tiles, this cement tile patio area in Tampa, Florida makes a great outdoor living space! Two complimentary field colors were used with a single border pattern to frame the "tile rug" and focus the seating area. The two-tone look brightens up the space and the decorative border adds a touch of sophisticated design.

Yucatan Tile: Great Benefits at a Great Price
All of the quality offered by the Yucatan line comes at a great price point of about $28 per square foot for the 4"x4" or 6"x6" formats (Metallic and P Series glazes are more). Small formats that are ideal for a shower or bath floor are also available, including 2"x2", 1¼"x1¼", or 1¼"x2½". To complement this line, trim pieces are available including Single Bull Nose, Double Bull Nose, Quarter Round, Barcello, Flat Bar, V-cap, P-Molding and many more. Many of these items are not listed, so please call if you have questions or do not see what you are looking for.

Yucatan Caramel Kitchen Don't forget the Yucatan is a vitreous tile and will absorb very little water. This quality makes it a good choice for wet locations exposed to water, like encasing a bathroom or shower. It is critical that these areas resist moisture intrusion to protect the walls of your home. Only a high-density, glazed porcelain tile will absorb no moisture at all. The Yucatan is an excellent choice for any "splash area" like a backsplash or countertop and it works well with fireplaces.

Tile Tip Tile Tip
Rather than butt two border tiles together at a corner, create a more professional look with a miter. A miter is a cut at 45-degree angles where the two tiles meet. This will create a "picture-frame" look and help maintain the decorative pattern on the tile border.
