Tips for Designing with Hexagon Tile

First, decide if you want to use a patterned or plain tile. If you love hexagons, then solid color tiles will emphasize the shape. If you use a patterned hexagon tile, then keep in mind that the tile's shape is usually very subtle or disguised in the pattern's motif unless the pattern outlines the shape. You can also create a beautiful mosaic, honeycomb, or random pattern by using several different colors. Use subtle shades of the same color for a softer, blending effect or bold, contrasting colors for lots of punch.

Next, start with a size that you like and one which provides the right scale for your home. Then, pick a color or colors, and make your own unique honeycomb blend.
