Cuban Cement Tiles Work Their Charm

Cuban Cement Tiles Work Their Charm

Colors Used in This Cement Tile Pattern

Cuban Heritage Pattern CH140-1A uses warm colors like Golden Rod and Indian Red on a white background with Pearl Gray accents. All colors are part of Avente's Heritage Line of Cement Tile. The Indian Red in the cement tile pattern works perfectly with the red stairs.

Working with Patterns

A full pattern repeat was the best choice because the entry was small and had an irregular room shape. A full pattern repeat means no border tiles were used.

Designing with Cement Tile

Designing with cement tile means taking a vision, idea or surrounding complementary area, and making it come to life. In this installation, the cement tile pattern is centered, and all cuts are near the edge of the room. Why? So that your eye naturally focuses on the main field pattern.

For ideas and visual inspiration on how cement tiles can enhance any room or setting, we invite you to visit our page on, see what we've been pinning onto our Pinterest boards, and browse through dozens of our Cement Tile Design Ideas.

Cement Tile Tip

Cement tiles can be installed on wooden sub-floors. For residential flooring applications, we recommend you install cement tiles on a backer board with a 1/2" plywood sub-floor above the floor boards.

Most importantly, an extremely level surface is critical for any cement tile floor installation. For commercial applications, we recommend that you only install over a flat, level and stable cured concrete surface.
