About Tile Insets
Tile insets are smaller tiles set intermittently throughout a larger tiled space. There are two types of tile insets, field tile and decorative tile. These two different types create distinctly different looks, both of which can add beauty and interest to your tiled area.
Field Tile Insets
Field tile insets can be created by combining several small pieces of field tile together or using separate tiles more sparingly within a field pattern. Cracked Ice strips, squares, or triangles are perfect insets for completing a unique and colorful bathroom backsplash. Cracked Ice tile insets are available in 5 beautiful colors, including Amber, Moss, Burgundy, Slate Blue, and White. This line is unique because the tile insets come in various shapes that can be "mixed or matched."
Deco Tile Insets
Decorative tile can be used as insets on a floor tiled with large format floor tiles, 8"x8" or larger. This adds a decorative appeal without overpowering other design elements in the space. Use decorative dots within a field tile backsplash in a kitchen to add visual appeal.
