Shipping Your Ceramic or Cement Tile Order

Avente offers both standard and rush shipping for ceramic and cement tile orders: items sent via standard shipping will arrive in 5 - 7 days; rush items will arrive in 3 - 5 days.

If an item is out of stock or if the order exceeds available stock, we will notify you of the expected ship date.

Most products are shipped via UPS Ground. Other methods of shipment are available at your request.

Large orders over 100 pounds are shipped LTL (Less Than Truckload) common carrier using the best carrier available.

Due to the weight and brittle nature of tile, extra care is given to packaging.

How to Receive Freight - Graphical Checklist

When receiving freight, it is your responsibility to always:

 

  • Please open all boxes immediately and check for contents and damage.
  • Do not accept the shipment if the contents are damaged.
  • If the packaging appears damaged on the outside, please refuse to accept it from the carrier, or please make sure that when you sign the shippers proof-of-delivery slip that you include a note stating that the package is or appears damaged.
  • If you do accept a damaged shipment, please inform us immediately, but it will be your responsibility to deal with the carrier in that case. You must notify us of any damage or problems within three days of receipt.

Claims for Damage on Ceramic and Cement Tile Shipments

For delays, damages or loss in transit, all claims must be made directly to the transportation or freight company. Avente LLC tendered the shipment in good condition to the transportation or freight company. Avente LLC can assist you with the claim; but, we are not responsible for the damage.
